COMEBACK FOR DISCO STAR MARCIA BARRETT

With Boney M. Marcia Barrett has achieved more than most aspiring young singer can dream of; the caribbean disco quartett, produced in Germany sold more than 200 million records worldwide to that date, performed for royals and other highnesses and they danced on the red square in Moscow in the midst of the cold war. More than thirty years have passed and Boney M. has become a legend and their songs all-time favorites.

Now the original lead and backing vocalist of Boney M., Marcia Barrett, is back with new music. After releasing a more rock oriented album a few years ago the first release on xoah records that hit the download stores in March 2009 Seeing Is Believing is very much in the pop/dance mood. With the fresh, very danceable track Marcia returns for a fine comeback onto the dancefloor. Written by Marcia and her husband Marcus James she says “We wanted to vent our feelings as to the topic which combines Love, Jealousy, Betrayal and Tricks which occur in people’s everyday lives from time to time unfortunately. We wrote the track around a distorted Love story. Other aspects in life’s journey also depicts what it entails."

The newest track, the awesome I Don't Know Why comes with a more rockier feeling, but is as danceable as it successor. Marcia's voice is as strong as ever and the new track just amazes!

Both new tracks are taken from her forthcoming new album that will be released in late summer 2009.
